8 days...
Well it's now in the single digits...8 days and counting. I'm really excited but still have a lot to do. I need to make about 100 more packages of mints, need to alter all of my bridesmaids' gowns, break-in my shoes, blah blah blah. My step-dad came in from Florida Wednesday night and he will be here through the wedding, it's nice to have him here...he keeps me sane. I know I have been slacking severely on my postings...I've been just a little on the busy side.
I took Ralph to the Vet and I'll find out more after his x-rays and bloodwork come in but preliminary findings show that he may have a disc problem in his back. Of course he is my baby so this has been very upsetting news, especially so close to the wedding and honeymoon where we won't be around to monitor him. He has lost his appetite and will only eat about 2 cups per day of ground beef and white rice. He has probably lost about 10 pounds from not eating, but the vet seems to think his lack of appetite is due to the pain associated with his back. He has been having trouble getting up and down the last few days, which is what prompted me to make an emergency appointment for him. Cross your fingers, I hope that it's nothing serious and that we can overcome the issue. I would hate for him to not be able to hike or camp with me anymore.
8 days.....I guess I should try to sleep a little!! Good night.

No way! You're getting married? When? One thing for sure, I know you won't make the same decision that my daughter did and get married on a Friday afternoon so everyone has to drive in rush.... What? You are? They will? Oh, never mind.
I will come to this one, but don't let it happen again. Don't worry. All of us that care wil attend.
Sorry about Ralph. I hope they can ease his discomfort and fix him up before the honeymoon. Oh, I thought we were talking about your fiance. Never mind.

Ralph was diagnosed with Valley Fever and Jim and I are caring for him now. He has been on medication for a week or so and his appetite is back up and he is gaining back some weight. His eyes are not sunk back in his head as much and he can get up and his back looks like it has straightened out.
