We're getting close!!
We're so excited! We drove out to the house today and they are in the process of putting up the drywall...which isn't all that exciting in and of itself but what is exciting...is that we are now officially 60 days away from closing. I know we have all heard that one before, but this time they mean it!
We have an unofficial guesstimate of our interest rate for the first mortgage of 7.25% but we are still unsure of the second's interest rate...I'm guessing somewhere around 10%. We have calls out to our insurance agent so get an estimate on adding the house to our policy and all that good stuff, so we'll be hearing back on Monday. We are figuring around $1800-$1900 per month after taxes and insurance, sounds high...but with the original selling price we were looking at $2400-$2600 per month...so to us, this looks GREAT!!
Here are a few pictures of the progress from today, unfortunately I was only able to stand in one room because the crew was working while we were there so we tried to stay out of their way. We have a plan for the backyard already and we are scrounging for some (well...lot's of) flagstone, so if you have any connections please let me know!! We are also going to be looking for some block to make a planter bed out of, again...know of anyone getting rid of or selling some, let us know!
Well, it's 2:30am and I am going to surprise my honey with some dinner at work so I must get going!
GRR...the photo icon will not cooperate again. I'll try again later.

Hmm. Something wrong about dinner at 3am. Still, it shows what a loving wife you are to do that for him. It's looks like the marriage odds are in your favor.
OK, 60 days until house closing is exciting. Closing costs and house payments are no fun, but they do come with the territory.Good luck for everything staying on time. And BTW, I don't have any contacts for yard materials. Sorry. As much as your Daddy has done, he ought to have contacts throughout every industry.

Hey, it's been several days since I commented. Why doesn't the counter on the front page increment? What did you do to it? Did you touch it after I told you not to? Ooo, you're going to be in big trouble when i tell your mother.
