Wedding Bells

I'm so excited! I got to pick up my wedding gown and my tiara today. I wish I could put it on and walk around but I don't want my fiance to see me in the dress until the wedding day so I have to keep it tucked away in my closet. I also picked up my bridesmaid's dresses today. They are going to look so nice in them! I spent about 6 hours last night going through my wedding book figuring out budget details and searching for invitations online. I have some free time this week because the kids don't have school so I don't have to work and I have a ton planned!! I'm going to be calling a few caterers, a few bakeries, a few ministers, and a few dj's to see if I can get any good information and hopefully book a couple of them. We are moving right along on the plans and hopefully will have everything done with plenty of time to spare. Time to spare is important because we both have finals three weeks before the wedding. If everything is done, confirmed and paid for by late April, we should be fairly stress free! Only 229 days left until the wedding! Sounds like a lot of time, but it's not when you're in school full time and working!! Gotta go to work...but if anyone has ideas for caterers, dj's, bakers, ministers, etc let me know!!

Alright!!

I called a mortgage broker today to see about getting pre-qualified and he said that with our current situation, he would qualify us for $240,000. I was very excited, but then it gets better! We have been waiting for Ryan to get a full-time position at work since July. Today, his boss called him while he was driving to work and told him that he had gotten a full-time spot! So now, with still 7 weeks until the grand opening of our new community, we are sitting in a much better spot to get the house that we want and have it ready to move in around August or September next year. Hooray!! I love it when I can lift a worry off of my shoulders! Hope your day is great!

It's not a complete waste of time...

Okay...After much frustration I have decided to set a goal for myself to keep me motivated at work while serving those mean people who feel they are above me in some fashion. I have devised a plan for my tips. I cleaned out a giant pretzel jar that I had purchased at Costco and cut a hole in the top. I taped down the edges so I won't get greedy (or desperate) and take money from it. Anyhow, I am putting all of my tips and my extra change in the bucket and am going to use that to buy my car with. Unfortunately however, I will be unable to save enough money by the time I have to quit working at Macayo's (around Christmas break) due to my limited availibility to work there. For now, I'm working weekends, making about $100 per weekend if I work 2 doubles. With that I calculate about $400 per month, which saving that until Christmas break, only leaves me with about $1200. This sounds like a lot of money, but in fact the vehicle that I desire to purchase will cost me about $14,000. You see now how I will fall undoubtedly short of my goal. For this reason, I have set up a charity fund. It is called "I Need a Car and You Should Give Me Money." If you would like to donate to this tax free charity, please visit the website on the sidebar and send me an email. I accept cash, check and credit card. There are starving children so please help the "I Need a Car and You Should Give Me Money" charity to save the lives of many small children.

Okay, maybe you can tell, another depressing day in the life of me. I really will accept cash or check though!! I have yet to set up my credit card machine at the apartment! Again, I hope your day is better than mine. :)

Careers...

Wow...have you ever been a waiter/waitress? You must have been crazy or desperate. It's really hardwork for very little money. I have to say this may be one of my least favorite jobs so far! I have worked retail, been a receptionist, worked in a hospital, a restaurant, and starting this week at an elementary school. Of all the jobs....the restaurant is the least enjoyable. Well I think I have complained enough for one night! Hope you all enjoy your jobs more than I do!! Before I go, let me just tell you how excited I am to be a teacher!!!!
